To preserve their exquisite craftsmanship and luster, each medal was coated with a clear sealing lacquer at the Mint, ensuring they would retain their beauty for generations.
These finely minted medals were then transformed into the dials of the watches. To further enhance their appearance, a two-tone plating process was applied by expert craftsmen in Alaska. The portraits of Elvis and Graceland were plated in 24-karat gold, creating a breathtaking contrast against the brilliant silver background. This technique resulted in a stunning, timeless effect, elevating the watches far beyond traditional paper or plastic dials.
